To make the most of your new topper, it is important to unpack it correctly and observe a few basic instructions. In this guide, we will show you step by step how to do this in the best way – simply, understandably and smoothly.
1. How do I prepare for unpacking?
Ensure you have enough space around your bed so you can comfortably unroll the topper. Have scissors ready to carefully open the packaging.
2. How do I correctly open the topper packaging?
Cardboard box:
Carefully cut open the shipping box without cutting too deep, so you don't damage the topper.
Protective film:
Your topper is packed in a sturdy film bag. This is not completely sealed, allowing the material to breathe better during transport. Carefully cut open the film, being careful not to cut too deep and damage the topper. Once the film is open, you can remove the topper and fully unroll it.
3. How long does it take for the topper to fully unfold?
The topper needs up to 24 hours to reach its full size and shape. Therefore, give it some time before fully loading or covering it. However, you can use it normally after about half a day.
4. How do I recognize the top and bottom of my topper?
Some models can be used on both sides, while others have a clearly defined top side – for example, with a zone cut – or a special bottom side with anti-slip function. Usually, you can recognize this by the feel or by looking at the topper core. To do this, open the cover and check which side has the zone cut. If your topper has a clear top side, please place it facing up when you put it on your mattress.

For toppers that can be used on both sides, it is recommended to turn and rotate them regularly. This ensures even wear and maintains sleeping comfort in the long term.

5. What to do if the topper smells chemical?
A slight inherent odor after unpacking is completely normal and is caused by the manufacturing process. Simply air the topper in a well-ventilated room – the odor usually disappears after a few days.

6. What should I consider after unfolding?
