Our microfiber pillows and comforters are particularly easy to care for - ideal for allergy sufferers and hygiene-conscious sleepers. Here you can find out how to care for them properly so that they fluffy, dimensionally stable and hygienic for a long time for a long time:
1. daily care
- Shake up daily
→ distributes the filling evenly, maintains the volume and ensures air supply - Ventilate regularly
→ ideally with an open window, preferably not in direct sunlightas heat can damage the fibers
2. washing - thorough but gentle
Washing frequency:
- Pillows: Approximately every 6-8 weeks
- Blankets: Every 1-2 years is usually sufficient
- more frequently for allergy sufferers or heavy sweating
Washing temperature
- 60 °C for hygienic cleaning - even with house dust mite allergies
Detergent:
- Delicate detergent or color detergent
- No fabric softener! - this sticks to the microfiber and reduces breathability
Washing machine:
- Best used individually or with a few light textiles wash
- Be careful not to overload the drum - the pillow or blanket needs space to rinse through
- Additional rinse cycle Recommended for sensitive skin
3. spinning - with measure
800-1000 rpm are sufficient
→ This removes excess water without compressing the filling too much
4. drying - airy & thorough
- Suitable for tumble drying in the gentle drying program
- Tennis balls or dryer balls in the drum
→ prevents clumping and loosens the filling - Allow to dry completely!
→ Residual moisture can cause mold or a musty smell
