The bridge height indicates how high the side wall of a fitted sheet is – i.e. the part that is pulled over the edge of the mattress. It determines which mattress height the sheet is suitable for. If the bridge height is too low, the sheet slips off easily; it should be slightly higher than the height of the mattress. For a 35 cm high mattress, you should therefore choose a fitted sheet with a 40 cm bridge height.
