Exchanging for a different firmness is not a problem. Simply send us your request by email to info@am-qualitaetsmatratzen.de. We will then initiate the exchange.
We deliver large mattresses in 160, 180 & 200 cm width with two separate cores (80, 90 or 100 cm each) at the repeated request of our customers. This way you can easily bring the mattress to your bed after delivery. Here you put the two mattress cores in the 160, 180 or 200 cm wide cover (don't worry, there is no gap between the cores). This enables you to easily handle our high-quality and solid mattresses.
The weight of the mattress will be displayed after you have made a product selection in the next step.

To get the most out of your mattress for as long as possible, we recommend turning it regularly. If you turn the mattress every two months or so, the material can relax. This helps to maintain a good condition and distribute the load on the mattress.
Mattresses with an integrated gel foam topper should not be turned, only rotated.

The main difference between our Premium pocket spring mattress and our 1000 spring pocket spring mattress is that more springs lead to better point elasticity. This means that the mattress adapts even more precisely to the body. However, apart from the spring core, the construction of the two mattresses is the same.
There is no difference between gel mattresses and gel foam mattresses; they are simply different names for mattresses that contain an integrated gel foam. This gel foam is used to provide extra comfort and pressure relief and is able to adapt to the shape of the body while ensuring high breathability. The terms "gel mattress" and "gel foam mattress" can therefore be used interchangeably.
The 2D contour cut in mattresses is characterized by even, horizontal incisions that extend across the entire width of the mattress. These cuts are specifically designed to provide zoned support, with each zone aiming to support different areas of the body accordingly and minimize pressure points.
In contrast, the 3D contour cut offers an advanced technique that uses both vertical and horizontal cuts to create a three-dimensional structure. Spring core or cold foam? Our gel mattress and the premium gel mattress both have a 7-zone cold foam core with a density of 35. Cold foam mattresses are suitable for people who get cold quickly thanks to their heat retention. A mattress with a cold foam core also offers excellent hygiene properties. The high-quality premium mattress uses a 3D contour cut with vertical and horizontal cuts, which adapts better to the shape of the body and improves ventilation for optimum temperature regulation. The entry-level model has a 2D contour cut with horizontal incisions that provide zoned support and pressure relief. Our premium gel foam pocket spring mattress has a 7-zone pocket spring core with 480 or 1000 springs per 2m², which ensures high point elasticity, long durability and shape retention. So, which is better spring core or cold foam? It all depends on which properties you prefer.
Height
The height of a mattress gives an indication of comfort, quality and visual impression. Thick mattresses offer more comfort and support as well as a longer lifespan. They fit well with bed frames and allow you to get out of bed quickly. Visually, they fill the bed and give it a luxurious appearance.
Lying comfort and ergonomics
Comfort refers to how pleasant a mattress feels to lie on, while ergonomics describes its ability to adapt to the contours of the body. A mattress with a lying comfort rating of 3 in this mattress comparison is still a comfortable mattress, but less adaptable. This means that it adapts less optimally to individual sleeping positions and body contours, which can lead to a slightly more generalized lying sensation. The Premium Gel mattress and the Premium Gel pocket spring mattress offer exclusive covers for first-class sleeping comfort. The mattress cover can be changed on both mattresses thanks to the 4-sided zipper. The premium cover made of TENCEL™ with climate fiber (400 g/m²) is washable up to 60 degrees and consists of high-quality Tencel knitted fabric, combined with 62% polyester and 38% Lyocell. In contrast, the gel mattress has a cover made of Toledo knitted fabric with 100% polyester, quilted with 200 g/sqm climate fiber, which can also be washed at 60 degrees.

The premium gel pocket spring mattress is available in firmness levels 2 and 3 for a weight of 50-100 kg. Whether pocket spring or cold foam mattress - the right firmness level is crucial.
